Function:
The UMI function is involved in the development phase of the product, in terms of designing product installation and upgrade strategy in standalone and high availability setups.
This function also involves automating the installation/upgrade procedures, documentation and testing of the UMI procedures.
Position: UMI Designer.
Experience - 2-6 Yrs
Skills
-Experience of working in Unix (HP, Solaris, Linux) environment.
-Sound knowledge with Shell/Perl scripting
-Good admin level Unix knowledge
-Knowledge of common 3PP’s like oracle, java installations on Solaris and HPUX
-Basic knowledge of Java, XML would be added advantage
-Database administration (Oracle, MySQL, Sybase) would be an added advantage
Responsibilities:

-Setting up the HW and perform scratch/upgrade testing for the product.
-Perform scripting activities to automate the product installation/upgrade and test activities

Qualification: B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering)/B.Tech. (Bachelor of Technologies) preferably in Computer Science or Electronics or Masters in Computer Application (MCA) or MSc(Computer Science) or Diploma (Computer Engg)
