Partnering with the IOC, this position is required to provide critical network infrastructure support and deliver best -in-class service to our clients. This position will involve day to day incident and problem management of major impacting network issues globally. In addition, proactive infrastructure management - identifying recurring or potential client-impacting issues in the environment. Strong focus on continual service improvement, driving down Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and reducing customer impacts. Working closely with the GNS Engineering team, ensure only production-ready solutions are deployed and any weakness in the environment are highlighted and addressed. A strong sense of urgency is required, together with the ability to quickly determine the scale and scope of an issue. Ability to engage the right resources to assist in problem determination and resolve is also key.
* The candidate must be able to demonstrate 5 to 7 years of strong technical experience and success in coordinating the implementation and operation of network architecture solutions, preferably within financial services industries, and across multiple countries.
* Experience managing various large scale enterprise network functions, including LAN, WAN, Market Data, Security, DNS, Voice VoIp, and Call Centers.
* Specifically, the candidate must have strong proven experience in one or more of the following technologies: Extensive Cisco routing and switching (CCIE), Extensive Checkpoint and Cisco PIX firewall (CCSE level), Cisco and Avaya VoIP, DNS or Load balancing.
* Strong Cisco and Avaya products knowledge.
* Strong security experience.
* Ability to influence and negotiate.
* Ability to present complex technology issues in a simple way, along with the ability to adapt communication to audience.
* Good written and verbal communications.
* Strong sense of urgency.
