Function:
R&D India in Gurgaon requires Software Engineers to work in Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

team. IVR is part of the Charging System (CS) product family, runs on media platform support

Voice XML specification.
The selected candidate would work as a designer and developer in the IVR team. He/she would be

responsible to transform result of high system level design into pure software. He/She would

be fully responsible for low level design, implementation and verification of software

solutions (Basic Test). The role also includes product customization and maintenance of

application software.

Experience - 2-4 Yrs.

Essentials for the Role
-Having 1 - 3 years of Telecom application design and development experience.
-Must be an expert in using JAVA and JAVA related technologies such as J2EE/XML/JSP/Struts
-Knowledge on VXML is preferred
-Good command on
oAlgorithms and data structures, OOAD, state machines,
oClient-server systems, distributed systems
oMultithreaded programming, socket, signaling and messaging
-Must have good analytical skills
-Experience of working in an Agile environment will be a plus
-Must be good in re-engineering aspects
-Must be a good Team Player
-Good knowledge of UNIX, Linux knowledge in added advantage
-Basic knowledge of telecom applications. SS7, ISUP and SIP knowledge is added advantage
-Version control, Rational Clear case knowledge is added advantage

Responsibilities:
Software engineer is a part of the Node design team, within a project, which could be of

nature of R&D activity, Design maintenance or product customization.
Responsibilities of a SE includes:
-Participate in the requirement analysis session with the System Architecture team (SAT).
-Write design related documents such as Implementation Proposals (IPs) for a subsystem, High

and Low level design documents within the project.
-Coding and Unit test (CUT) using the defined technologies.
-Generate detailed unit test cases and perform the unit tests. If the new feature in being

developed in Java then Junit shall also be written for unit test.
-Code coverage from UT point of view should be 100%.
-Testing (for own code and for Function testing).
-Adhere and follow all the design processes laid down by the unit where design project is

undertaken. The processes are such as Streamline development, Agile development, Test driven

development, peer reviews, risk based testing, peer reviews, pair programming etc.
-Fix trouble reports (TRs) or bugs as reported by tester and assigned to individuals.

Qualification: B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering)/B.Tech. (Bachelor of Technologies) preferably

in Computer Science or Electronics or Masters in Computer Application (MCA) or MSc(Computer

Science)
