System Analyst - Oracle HRMS
Requirements
o Works closely with the client management teams to understand business needs and identify business requirements for services
o Works directly with clients to define, interpret and clarify business requirements across services, platforms and integration needs
o Conducts research, evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations to clients, 3rd parties, and internal partners to provide value-added solutions.
o Translate client fit and gap business requirements for technical and operations resources in support of client projects.
o Effectively conducts meetings to secure client product/service requirements.
o Leverages modeling tools, standards and processes for proposals.
Subject Matter Expertise
o Broadens knowledge of HW products and services by seeking opportunities to learn more through training and project participation.
o Strengthens skills associated with job function by working with more senior associates and applying acquired knowledge/skills to on the job activities.
o Provides input to functional and technical system designs as an expert on business needs and domain knowledge.
o Has a good understanding of the impact to the downstream partners
o Provides input to test strategies and test plans, ensuring that appropriate and adequate testing is conducted
o Keeps close connection to Process Owner and Product group as new products and features are introduced.
Coordination/Communication
o Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with clients, 3rd parties, and internal partners.
o May present service and product offerings to clients. Helps to keep client selections closely tied to standard offerings.
o Ensures that day to day activities are integrated, as appropriate, with other project team members and business partners.
Issue Resolution
o Identifies potential problems and follows established mechanisms for reporting and escalation.
o Suggest possible resolutions to varying issues.
o Interprets and analyzes problems in terms of requirements and design and guides downstream partners through out the life-cycle
Process Improvement
o Assists in analysis of current processes and is able to propose recommendations for process improvements.
o Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement.
o Participates in all size process improvement projects and can lead smaller projects.
Project Management
o Provide insight and input to project plans and monitor progress against plans
o Monitor and resolve project interdependencies both internal and external to the business unit.
o Communicate project milestone feedback to project leads and functional management
Requisite Skill-sets/Behaviours:
Excellent communication and client facing skills
Strong understanding of US health benefits domain
Ability to work effectively with client and partner senior management teams
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to develop both short and long term solutions that positively impact the overall organization
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Ability to quickly, accurately, and thoroughly become experts in client’s Plans and Processes
Ability to work with clients to extract information, steer to solutions and negotiate “win win” situations
Ability to see the big picture and how all the pieces of the project fit together
Exposure to SQL would be an advantage
Work in mid shifts (till 10pm/ 11pm India time) and flexibility to work extended hours
